BEDTIME FOR BOO

Author (last name first):
Matheis, Mickie
Publisher,Date of Publication:
Golden Books/August 28, 2012
Grade Level/ or Age Level:
Kindergarten- 3rd Grade
Classification:
Fiction

Boo, the youngest ghost in his family, is excited on his first night of haunting but soon tires, and upon returning home, Mama Ghost knows just what to do to help Boo fall asleep. She tells him to listen to the noises of the night, and Boo slowly dozes off to the comforting creaks and squeaks of the house. This lullaby-like picture book has poetic beauty and is the perfect bedtime fairy-tail. I would recommend it for a Halloween story or just a fun reading book to pass the time. It also has an AR test available for K-3rd grades.

She receives  a pest that bakes the most delicious deserts on thought out the night Angelina tries to make her self understood, but the godmother just can't get it right. The moral of the story is the expectations of the parents, while good- intended and well-meaning, may not fit the personality of the child. Furthermore, maybe the outlook should change to suit the child. There is an AR test available as well for grades K-3.

Fortunately, even though he's made a mistake, his best friend is always waiting with open arms and take him back home. The author- illustrator (Leeza Hernandez) brings animated drawings to a classic friendship tale, with easy to read verse. This is wonderful for a read- aloud or for young readers just starting out.
