Angelina Neatolini's wish for a pet has been denied by her family on the grounds that pets are too messy. One night, Angelina makes a wish, and a ladybug godmother appears; however she is hard- of - hearing, which fills their tidy new home with assorted pets. She receives a pest that bakes the most delicious deserts on thought out the night Angelina tries to make her self understood, but the godmother just can't get it right. The moral of the story is the expectations of the parents, while good- intended and well-meaning, may not fit the personality of the child. Furthermore, maybe the outlook should change to suit the child. There is an AR test available as well for grades K-3.
