Forced to live with her wealthy, estranged grandparent in New York City after her mother dies, sixteen- year- old Michele retreats to her room where she finds a diary of an ancestor that transports her back to 1910--with life-changing consequences. Michele meets a young man with striking blue eyes who has appeared in her dreams and falls in love with him. She leads a double life throughout most of the story and learns of her family history while doing so. While she travels though time she also learns how to deal with the grief of losing her mother and becomes close to her grandparents.
This book is good for children who have lost a loved one. It also left me wondering if the author is going to do a squeal to the story. The cover of the book was very eye catching and beautiful. It adds to the appeal of the book. There is an AR test available for this book as well.
