The story is rhythmically captivating and is told from two perspectives. A young girl, age 6-7 goes though a neighborhood park to pick berries to make jam with her mother. The girl is mindful of the bees that are flying around the bushes. She reminds herself what to do if the bee's flew to close to her. The author tells of a similar journey to the park from the bee's perspective. She recounts the bee's feelings and the advice to watch out for people as the bee gathers nectar from the flowers. The colorful and fanciful illustrations attract the reader to the story. The book is easy to read with a wealth of extensions and connections to be made to content areas. Integrating the curriculum content areas can be readily incorporated. I would highly recommend this book to others.
